Whole-leaf Rosinweed Silphium integrifolium
An important and fairly common tallgrass prairie species related to compass plant, rosinweed looks to most people like a sunflower with its large yellow flower heads. In PPRI prairie plantings rosinweed is a prominent feature adding both color and wildlife habitat values.
